Due to continued dangerous road conditions, SORD management has decided to attempt to run COMMERCIAL trash routes on Wednesday January 28, 2026 as soon as the temperature is above freezing on Wednesday. There will be NO residential routes ran on Wednesday 1/28/26 and only the commercial areas that SORD trash trucks can safely access will be serviced on Wednesday.
SORD Landfill will be open regular hours on Wednesday January 28, 2026. SORD main office will be open Wednesday January 28, 2026 with limited staff available.
Residential routes that SORD is unable to safely service this week will be picked up next week. Please make sure your extra trash is bagged and set beside your residential container and the extra garbage will be picked up on your regular route day next week. We apologize for any inconvenience, but continue to prioritize the safety of our drivers along with the safety of the public who share roadways with our drivers.

Due to continued dangerous road conditions, SORD management has decided to attemp to run COMMERCIAL trash routes on Tuesday January 27, 2026 beginning around 10 a.m. There will be NO residential routes ran on Tuesday 1/27/26 and only the commercial areas that SORD trash trucks can safely access will be serviced on Tuesday. As of 3 p.m. on Monday 1/26/26, SORD management has deemed the roads to still be extremely dangerous for trash trucks, especially in rural residential areas.
